课程及学分
The 西班牙的火博体育 程序 is a liberal arts 程序 with a focus on 西班牙语 language 和文化. Students can build 的ir semester by choosing from classes at 的 Tufts-Skidmore 项目中心 or 的 马德里康普顿斯大学 (UCM)，我们在马德里的大学合作伙伴. 项目中心提供的课程 are specifically designed 和 taught only for study abroad students on 的 程序. Students enroll in at least 15 学分 每学期 和 are required to take 的 Advanced 西班牙语 Language Studies course at 的 Program Center. There are multiple sections of 的 Advanced 西班牙语 Language Studies course 和 students will be placed based on a 西班牙语 placement test. 还有一个部分 specifically designed for Heritage Speakers for students who grew up speaking 西班牙语 在家里.

西班牙的大学
马德里康普顿斯大学(UCM), or "的 Complutense", is a large public university with more than 80,000 students. The UCM is one of 的 largest 和 most important universities in Spain 和 in 的 西班牙语-speaking world 和 consistently ranks among 的 top universities in Spain. The UCM has two campuses: 的 Somosaguas campus 和 的 Moncloa campus. 的——蒙克洛亚 campus is 的 main campus of 的 UCM 和 is located in 的 heart of Madrid, in close proximity to 的 西班牙的火博体育 项目中心.

实习
实习 are available in a variety of non-profit organizations, museums, schools, 和 businesses. Past students have interned at places such as 的 Museo del Prado, 的 西班牙语 Commission for 的 援助 of Refugees, 的 Red Cross, Hot 英语 Magazine, Kaplan, 的 Fulbright 佣金等等. Students can choose to do an 实习 for academic 信用或非信用. Interested students should review 的 实习 options on 的 Tufts-Skidmore在西班牙的网站 和 联系 的 OCSE Program Manager with any questoins.
学分
Participants are expected to carry a full course load of at least 15 Skidmore 学分 每学期. Students who wish to take less than a full course load must request permission from OCSE. All course work taken in Spain is reported on a 火博体育大学 transcript. For Skidmore 学生, grades are computed in 的 cumulative GPA, 和 students may use all 300-level 学分 taken in Madrid toward Skidmore's "maturity-level" credit 经部门批准的要求. Non-Skidmore students should check with 的ir home campus for credit transfer details before applying to 的 程序.
The courses at 的 Tufts-Skidmore 项目中心 和 的 university are worth 4 学分 每一个. The credit earned for doing an 实习 will be dependent on how many hours 你每周都在你的实习单位工作. Skidmore can award 1-6 学分 for an 实习 in Spain, but most students earn 1-3 学分. 实习也是有可能的 不是为了信用. Courses at private studios will vary in credit from 1-4 学分, depending on 的 number of 联系 hours per week for 的 course.
